Rip Torn Heads to Rehab Facility Following Arrest

According to a recent report at rightcelebrity.com, actor Rip Torn, who has been in movies such as “Men in Black” and “Wonder Boys,” is on his way to a rehabilitation facility after being arrested last week.

And just in case you didn’t hear the story of the actor’s arrest, I’ll give you a quick recap. Rip was arrested last Friday, when the police arrived on the scene at a bank in Salisbury, Connecticut, to find him drunk and disorientated.

79-year old Rip was heavily intoxicated at the time the police arrived, and was reportedly in possession of a loaded firearm. He was then arrested and charged with burglary, trespassing and a weapons offense.

It was also said that Rip appeared to think that he was in fact at home, and made statements to the police to reinforce that notion. Reports say that he was released on Monday on $100,000 bond and now awaits court.
