Churchill Manitoba Polar Bears in canada

http://news.puggal.com/wp-content/uploads/2010/02/Sparring.jpgChurchill is a town on the shore of Hudson Bay in Manitoba, Canada and it is most famous for the many polar bears. Those polar bears move toward the shore from inland in the autumn, leading to the nickname “Polar Bear Capital of the World”. Churchhill is a very famous location for Arctic research and the town also has some restaurants, tour operators, several hotels and a health centre. There are specially modified buses known as tundra buggies and tourists can safely view polar bears from tundra buggies. The most feasible times to see Polar Bears are October and early November. Through these buses you can see hundreds of polar bears which wait on the vast Peninsula until the water freezes on Hudson Bay. They wait so that they can return to hunt their primary food source, Ringed Seals. It’s situated on the Estuary of the Churchill River at Hudson Bay and it stands at the an Ecotone, on the Hudson Plains and Wapusk National Park is located to the south of the town.
