Twenty-five years after the original charity single “We Are the World” was created to aid Africa, Hollywood stars today have joined together to record “We Are the World: 25 for Haiti” for the benefit of the Haiti earthquake victims.
On February 12, the star-studded video premiered during the opening ceremonies of the 2010 Winter Olympics at Vancouver.
The song was once again organized by Quincy Jones and Lionel Richie. Along with the original lyrics written by Richie and Michael Jackson, the new version includes an all-star rap and auto-tuned verses by Lil Wayne, Akon, and T-Pain.
