Tea Party movement Tea Party convention Nashville may widen divide in American society

WASHINGTON: Tea Party movement: Tea Party convention Nashville may widen divide in American society. All eyes are at the National Tea Party convention. Most of the time party unity comes forward at convention. But the case with it is different.
However, the biggest surprise of the day is that Sarah Palin is going to address members.

Members of the Tea Party were in the news last summer. After the historic bill was passed they had converged on town hall to protest the bill. Besides, they took out a rally against big government.

And it attracted thousands of protesters at the US Capitol. But insiders say the party is going through a difficult time. It is plagued with internal fighting.

"It's a leaderless movement," opines former House majority leader Dick Armey. He works with the Tea Party Patriots and is well aware of their problems. Armey is also known to be associated with Republican in Texas. Actually many say he is a Texas Republican.

The real problem is that many organizations have come up under the Tea Party name. Interestingly, every one claims to the true representatives of the people. But they all are united in opposing Obama’s health bill. On this front they are fully backing up the Republicans.

Their tactics is to mount pressure on the Obama Administration to drop the contentious bill. Besides, they organize social meetings to convince people. "We're thinking of having a Chicago tea party in July," a senior Tea Party leader said.
