New Year's Eve at Mattison's, 1200 First Ave. W., Bradenton. Upstairs New Year's Eve Celebration VIP Party, 8 p.m.-1 a.m. Dec. 31. The newly renovated Waterfront Ballroom overlooking the river will serve as the backdrop of a five-course dinner with wine. There will also be champagne, open bar, party favors, dancing and live music from Shaman. Guests can watch the large-screen TV for the Times Square ball drop. Tickets: $100. An more informal New Year's party is happening downstairs, where guests can partake some New Year's Eve specials from the menu and enjoy live music by The Dr. Dave Band. No cover charge
