Last night “Hope for Haiti Now” telethon took many interesting musical moments with it. Hundreds of great artists were present there for great cause. There were around hundred superstars from across the world that participated in Hope for Haiti concert chipping in order to make it a great success. This telethon is not only a fund raising concert but it is also for the awareness of the people about the pitiful conditions of the Haitians who have been devastated by the deadly earthquake which had the magnitude of 7. This earthquake has shocked Haiti and ruined the lives there.
The benefit concert took place in London, Los Angeles, New York and Haiti and it involved more than 100 celebrities. US major TV channels, plus MTV broadcasted the show and also streamed online on YouTube. The songs sang in this telethon by the performers will be released for download on iTunes music store so that more donations could be made for the Haitians. There were several groups and artists who joined this concert that includes Jennifer Hudson, Linkin Park, Slash, Robin Williams, Julia Roberts, Peter Gabriel, Enrique Iglesias, Sheryl Crow and Kid Rock, Alanis Morissette, Taylor Swift, Kenna, Madonna.Clooney helped organize the two-hour show. He is just not a good actor but a great human being. He said in his address that he Haitian people needed their help and they needed to know that they were not alone.
Other performers who have given their live performances includes The All-American Rejects, Stevie Wonder, Dave Matthews and Neil Young, Christina Aguilera, Justin Timberlake and Matt Morris, Sting, Beyoncé, Lupe Fiasco, Shakira, Colin Farrell, Alicia Keys, John Legend, Keith Urban, Coldplay, Wyclef Jean, Justin Timberlake and Hoobastank. A large number of Bollywood stars were also present there.
