James Mitchell who played ruthless tycoon Palmer Cortlandt on All My Children soap, has died aged 89, Mitchell suffered from chronic obstructive pulmonary disease, complicated by pneumonia. James Mitchell bean his career as a dancer with the American Ballet Theater.

James Played Palmer Cortlandt for three decades.His final TV appearance was on All My Children's 40th anniversary episode earlier this month.

James Mitchell will be missed, I remember watching All My Children as a kids, and Palmer Cortlandt made the show.
