From the very start, Germany dominated the game and saw Germany’s Thomas Mueller scoring the first goal barely a few minutes after the match began. This early goal shocked the very confident Argentinians.
If the first half saw the Germans as the leaders in the game, the second half showed the world just why they will fight their way to the finals.
The second half of the Germany Vs. Argentina match saw Argentina scoring an off side goal which was ruled out, much to Maradona’s disappointment. Germany went on a scoring spree with Klose hitting a goal in the 65th minute, followed by Friedrich’s brilliant goal in the 75th minute, which was finally topped by Klose’s second goal in the 87th minute. This was enough to kill Argentina’s hopes of surviving in the 2010 World cup.
