Hollywood will definitely leave a lasting effect on Quinton "Rampage" Jackson next month when he appears in "The A-Team," but the MMA fighter failed to perform well yesterday when he lost to rival Rashad Evans.
Rashad Evans vs Rampage Jackson Highlights: The fight happened at MGM Grand Garden Arena and Evans won it quite easily. The fans were hoping for a clash to remember between two former Ultimate Fighting Championship light-heavyweight champions but it was only Evans show.
Evans won the match by claiming a 30-27 decision on two scorecards and a 29-28 edge on the other. He will not fight against champion Mauricio "Shogun" Rua later this year, said the UFC.
Jackson is acting in the Mr. T role of B.A. Baracus and looked rusty throughout the game. The 14-month layoff clearly took its toll as Jackson failed to match Evans' superior wrestling skills. "I guess ring rust is a factor. I looked good, felt good, was strong, but I had a lot of rust," Jackson said.
Jackson looked good in the third round when he landed flurry of punches on Evans, that knocked him to the canvas. But Evans recovered soon to end Jackson’s challenge and the fight. "I went down for a little bit, but that's what happens," Evans said.
