December 19: Chris Henry funeral to be held on Monday as Chris Henry cause of death still unknown. Teammates are still in shock and grief after the untimely death of Chris Henry. Twenty Six year old Henry died when he fell off the back from a pickup truck that reports say was being driven by his girl friend.
Many have said that he was misunderstood by many people. The way his teammates and sporting world is grieving his death reinforces the idea.
Chris Henry was taken to the hospital when he was discovered lying unconscious. He was grievously injured from his fall from the truck and was put on life support system in the hospital.
But he could not be revived and succumbed to his injuries in less than twenty four hours.
His funeral is planned for Tuesday.
Former teammate Jeff Rowe remembered Henry and said “It’s (stinks), it’s terrible” Henry died during a domestic dispute with his fiancée .Rowe said“He was working really hard to change his life. That’s probably the saddest part. He was such a great guy. Incredibly talented, his potential was unbelievable. I know everybody absolutely loved him.”
Chris Henry of Bengals receiver died on Thursday a day after falling from the back of pickup truck. His persona was charismatic. Owner of Bengal receiver, Mike Brown said "We knew him in a different way than his public persona,"
Police said that it was a domestic dispute started at a home, her fiancé was driving away from the residence and Henry jumped into the pickup. He was found on Wednesday afternoon but he can’t survive the injury.
Team mates were in shock. Bengal reciever’s Andre Caldwell said "It was tough…We were crying."
Mike Brown feels that Henry was trying hard to make his life better. He said “He had worked through the troubles in his life and had finally seemingly reached the point where everything was going to blossom."
