The milestone 100th episode of BONES takes viewers back in time six years as Brennan and Booth recount the first case they worked on together. While the case cements a foundation for a successful future partnership, it also reveals the convoluted romantic beginnings of the formidable duo whose feelings for each other almost destroyed the team but still linger years later in the all-new “The Parts in the Sum of the Whole” episode of BONES.
Now, they tell Sweets (their friend and therapist) that’s not true. They recount an earlier story of how they met — and kind of liked each other — on another case. Not to mention that David Boreanaz did a wonderful job directing this episode. While it’s nothing new for actors to jump in the director’s seat, especially on a series that they’ve worked on for many years, Boreanaz deserves credit for tackling such an important episode.
