The biennial UIL reclassification and realignment for the 2010-11 and 2011-12 school years will be released Monday, February 1 at 9:00 a.m. CST. The information will be available online via the UIL web site at www.uil.utexas.edu, and at the 20 Regional Education Service Centers across the state.
The new alignments, established by enrollment figures submitted to the UIL by its member schools in October, will serve as football and basketball districts for the next two school years.

An anticipated UIL realignment in Texas was proposed today by the University Interscholastic League, providing new classifications and divisions for Texas athletics programs involving football and basketball.
Documents showing all of the new alignments for high school football and basketball can be found at the University Interscholastic League Web site.
If the UIL Web site does not load -- it has been suffering temporary outages today -- the best place to see alignments you're interested in is local news Web sites, such as The Houston Chronicle, Palestine Herald, or Killeen Daily Herald.
Schools may appeal the realignment by Feb. 11, according to a UIL press release.
According to the release, "Schools wishing to change districts may do so by getting a vote from both the district to which they have been assigned and the district to which they wish to change."
The University Interscholastic League, founded by The University of Texas at Austin, is an overseeing body for public school debate and athletic teachers.

As expected UIL in Texas would be realigned. This was announced by University Interscholastic League today. There would be new classifications and divisions for Texas athletics programs that include football and basketball.
It doesn’t end there the schools are expected to appeal the realignment positively by Feb 11 2010. Texas schools are required to propose changes to the new alignment within 10 days.
