Cochin Haneefa’s real name is Salim Ahmed Ghoush. He began his career during the 1970’s as a villain. He then became a popular comedian in theMalayalam film industry. Cochin Haneefa was a member of the group “Cochin Kalabhavan Troupe”. Along with him are Bindhu Panicker, Jayaram,Kalabhavan Mani and Harisree Asokan. He started his film career in 1879 where he appeared in “Ashtavakran”. After then, he appeared in almost 300 films.
