Video: Avenged Sevenfold drummer dead - Jimmy Sullivan dies at age 28 Year

Avenged Sevenfold drummer dead: Jimmy Sullivan, drummer for the band Avenged Sevenfold, is dead at the age of 28. Reports indicate that it appears as if the drummer died of natural causes, although his death is being investigated.

The band, Avenged Sevenfold, was founded in 1999. Sullivan, a.k.a. "The Rev" or "The Reverend Tholomew Plague", was one of the co-founders. The band has recently tried to live down their reputation for debauchery, after a gruesome video clip shot by the band shot for "A Little Piece of Heaven" - a song about mass murder and necrophilia.

The inspiration for Avenged Sevenfold are bands such as Iron Maiden and Guns and Roses. The band played at Ozzy Osbourne's Ozzfest in 2006, and toured with Buckcherry in 2008.

It's always sad to see those who are so young pass away. This is the second young individual to die of apparent natural causes in the last two weeks. The other young individual was, of course, Brittany Murphy.

Avenged Sevenfold came to Nashville back in March of 2009 along with Buck Cherry and Papa Roach. Fans that made the journey to the Sommet Center to see the band and their drummer are now mourning the loss of someone that is considered one of the best drummers of all times.

A video clip below was aired back in May 2009 in LA and discusses Avenged Sevenfold's plans for new music.

Alyssa Milano Slams 'Jersey Shore' in Spoof Video

MYFOX NATIONAL) - The MTV show "Jersey Shore" has garnered a lot of attention with its cast of 20-somethings partying, fighting and strutting as they spend the summer at a house on the New Jersey coast. But the show's portrayal of Italian-Americans has caused outcry from some, most recently actress Alyssa Milano, who spoofed the cast members by posting a video of her transformation into a "Guidette."

Yahoo TV reported that Milano, who describes herself as an Italian-American, born in Brooklyn and raised in Staten Island, was upset by a clip of the reality show. In a 1-minute response video produced by Funny or Die titled "Evolution," the actress is transformed from a plain-looking woman into a orange-tinted, tanned, big-hair, outrageous character, similar to one of the main characters in the show. (Watch the video below.)

After the "Jersey" makeover is complete, the video ends with a disclaimer: "No wonder our perception of Jersey is distorted."

Milano's video is a spoof of the Dove "Evolution" ad , part of the skin-care company's "Campaign For Real Beauty" from three years ago.

In a statement to Yahoo , 37-year-old Milano said that she wanted to do something something funny and smart, and not too serious, "... who am I kidding? I jump at any opportunity for the world to see me with frizzy hair and without makeup."

A large Italian-American organization, UNICO National, has called on MTV to pull "Jersey Shore" complaining of the portrayal of Italian-Americans.

But one of the stars of the show during an appearance on the "Wendy Williams Show" countered that "Jersey Shore" is just about young people having fun, reported US Magazine . Nicole, a.k.a. "Snookie", said, "The Italian, whatever, national, whatever their organization is, they don’t understand that 'guidos' and 'guidettes' are good-looking people that, you know, like to make a scene and be center of attention and just take care of themselves."

In another controversy, a clip showing "Snookie" getting punched in the face by a man was pulled from the show, but continued to be used to promote the show .

What Happens on The Jersey Shore doesn’t Stay There

I hate the MTV show Jersey Shore, but it DOES have an odd appeal where if I have nothing else pressing to watch I sort of secretly enjoy making a sandwich and curling up in bed to watch those Guidos and Guidettes.

Something that really bugs me is that when Mike “The Situation” and Nicole “Snookie” were on The Tonight Show and Snookie said her future goals were just to get her own reality show. Instead of wanting to grow up to be doctors or princesses, now little kids are going to start saying that same thing. “I want my own reality TVshow!” And that’s horrible.

Aaaanyway, time for more news. Dominos Pizza, American Family Insurance and Dell have dropped out as sponsors for the show. But that’s old news. Psh. The situation (no pun!) has become so serious that lawmakers are trying to get it pulled from the air. The New Jersey Italian American Legislative Caucus cites the Jersey Shore as a “wildly offensive” show that is all you know, bad! New Jersey state Senator Joseph Vitale sent a letter to MTV’s parent company, Viacom, requesting that Jersey Shore be canceled right away. Since that’s doubtfully going to happen, Jersey officials are urging others to boycott the show.

While many Italian American’s are speaking out against the show, there’s actual Italian Americans on the show. If seems to me that there ARE people like this – especially since I’ve met a self-proclaimed Guido before. It’s not just a stereotype. I don’t see people trying to get The Hills canceled for promoting bad valley girl stereotypes. And they can’t – because that’s true too. Personally, I like getting an insight into a small sub sect of culture I hadn’t seen much of before. (Source of facts: TV Guide)
