UFC 114: Rampage Jackson vs Rashad Evans video and results

UFC 114 ended with something of a surprising upset last night, as Rashad Evans controlled much of his bout with Rampage Jackson before taking a unanimous decision.

The two had been rumored to do battle for some time, dating back as far as UFC 107, when the initial duel was set to take place. But Jackson withdrew because of his work on the A-Team movie, prompting an angry response from UFC President Dana White and frustration from Evans.

But Evans got his revenge last night, completely obliterating Jackson for the first two rounds. Jackson, to his credit, stormed back in the final round, turning in what Matt Murai of AmericanSuperstarMag.com called a "third-round onslaught," but when the final bell tolled Evans was the victor by scores of 30-27, 29-28 and 30-27.

The fighters weighed in at just one pound apart and both have championship pedigrees with the UFC, but Jackson was considered the favorite and entered with plenty of momentum. An Evans victory wasn't necessarily a shock, but to see him own Jackson so thoroughly through the first two rounds was something of a surprise.

LAS VEGAS: British middleweight star Michael Bisping was sharp, disciplined, and in fine form in his UFC 114 co-main event bout with Dan Miller Saturday night at the MGM Grand Garden Arena, using a pinpoint striking attack to score a three round unanimous decision victory over the ultra-tough New Jersey native.

“The gameplan was to do what I did but to finish the fight,” said Bisping. “He’s tough. I hit him with some big right hands and he took them.”

Scores were 30-27 twice and 29-28 for Bisping, who was coming off a close decision loss to Wanderlei Silva in February.

After an intense forehead to forehead staredown that prompted a pre-fight push from Miller, the two fighters met at the center of the Octagon at the bell and got down to business, poking at each other with range-finding strikes. Bisping was the busier of the two, and he found a home for his strikes, but the more economical Miller was able to land as well. By the end of the round, Bisping had bloodied Miller’s nose and reddened his face, while the Brit went back to his corner unmarked.

These two have some bad blood between them, so it was likely a hard loss for Jackson. The fight was unanimous, with Evans winning 30-27 29-28 30-27. This fight was one of the biggest non-title fights for the UFC, and we doubt either of these two expected to walk away with a loss without a big fight.

While in his late teens he jumped to Warner Bros. where he made “Giant” and “Rebel without a Cause” after he insulted his boss Harry Cohn from Columbia.

After then, he went to New york to study at the Actors Studio where he had learned his skills.

Hopper married to Brooke Hayward, who is the daughter of agent Leland Hayward (author of best-selling memoir “haywire”) and actress Margaret Sullava. They had a daughter, Marin, before they led to divorce after eight year of marriage bacauce of drug-induced violence.

His second wife was the singer-actress Michelle Phillips of the Mamas and the Papas,lasted only eight days.

His third marriage was with actress Daria Halprin, and had a daughter Ruthana but also ended in divorce

Hopper’s fourth wife was Katherine LaNasa, a dancer. They had a son, Henry, before they divorced.

Hopper’s fifth marriage was with Victoria Duffy, who was 32 years his junior, in 1996, and had a daughter, Galen Grier.

Lewis Hamilton led a McLaren victory after an extraordinary clash between Red Bull’s Mark Webber and Sebastian Vettel at the Turkish Grand Prix today. Team-mate Jenson Button came in second place.

The clash happened on the 40th lap when Vettel flew off the track after colliding with team-mate Webber in an attempt to take the lead from him.

On lap 50, Hamilton’s team-mate Jenson Button surged ahead and they were actually neck-to-neck at some point of the race, Button taking the lead for a few turns.

Webber finished third while Mercedes’ Michael Schumacher came in fourth.

This is Lewis Hamilton’s 12th victory in his Formula 1 career.

UFC 114 Play-by-Play: Diego Sanchez vs. John Hathaway News

This welterweight bout will be refereed by the veteran Herb Dean. Diego hits with a left hand first. Diego rushes in and tries to take Hathaway down. Hathaway is against the octagon fence and has control of Diego’s wrist. Diego continues to work for the takedown. Hathaway hits with an elbow to Diego’s face. Diego takes Hathaway down but only for a moment. They reset in the middle of the octagon. Hathaway hits with a loopy right hook and then again with a straight right hand. Diego misses with a left hand and then backpedals. Hathaway drops Diego with a huge knee. He jumps in Diego’s guard and begins to pummel him. Herb Dean lets it go and Diego looks to have survived.

Hathaway continues to hammer down with strikes, but Diego is recovered and holds onto Hathaway’s head. Hathaway breaks free and hits Diego in the face again with two more ground strikes. Diego scrambles and tries to get to his feet, but it looks like Hathaway is able to keep him on his back. Hathaway uses hammer fists to try and get a better position. He then hits Diego with several elbows until the bell saves him from any more damage. (Hathaway 10-9)

2nd Round

Diego looks drained coming out for the second; Hathaway looks fresh. Hathaway misses with a left hand but hits with a high kick. Diego hits with a left hand to the face of Hathaway. Diego also adds a leg kick to Hathaway’s face. Diego puts his left hand again in Hathaway’s face. A knee and a superman punch find a home on the body of Sanchez. Diego hits with a straight left hand. He then races in but misses with a combination. Diego disguises a takedown and gets one. He puts Hathaway on his back for the first time tonight.

Hathway gets up but Diego has control of Hathaway’s waist and presses him against the fence. Hathaway hits Diego in the face with an elbow and then a straight right. Diego hits with a couple of leg kicks. Hathaway delivers a right hand that makes Diego backpedal. Hathaway tries to take Diego down, but can't. Hathaway hits with a hard right hand but Diego takes it and stays in front of him. Diego partially hits with a right hook. Hathaway hits with a knee and Diego answers with a short right as the bell ends the middle round. (Hathaway 10-9)

3rd Round

The final round is underway and Hathaway is first to hit. He hits with a right hand. Sanchez fakes a huge hook, but hits with a straight right instead. He then hits with a left uppercut. He moves in and hits with a right-left combo to Hathaway’s face. Hathaway misses with a right hand and it gives Diego time to set up a takedown attempt. He can't get Hathaway to the floor, and Hathaway hits with a knee up the middle.

Diego shoots and Hathaway catches him and pushes him against the octagon fence. Diego breaks free and meets his opponent back in the middle of the octagon. Hathway makes Diego eat a right hand and a left follows. Hathaway hits with a high kick and then a right elbow. Hathway gets a body lock and takes Diego to the ground. Diego scrambles and gets back up. He hits Hathaway with a right hand, but it is answered with a left buy Hathaway. They both throw strikes as the bell ends this round. Update: UFC 114 Results: Rashad Evans vs Rampage Jackson Results, Evans is the winner

UFC 114 (mixed martial arts event) was held yesterday by Ultimate Fighting Championship at the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas, Nevada, United States. Rampage vs. Evans was the main events of UFC 114.

Spike TV once again broadcasted two live preliminary bouts one hour before the PPV broadcast began. In addition, the three-part UFC Primetime series returned to Spike TV in the build up for this event.

The full fight card featured five Ultimate Fighter season champions Rashad Evans, Michael Bisping, Diego Sanchez, Amir Sadollah and Efrain Escudero. Forrest Griffin was also scheduled to be another Ultimate Fighter winner to compete, but had to pull out.

David huff Robertson day-to-day not available Sunday

NEW YORK -- Dave Robertson will not be available for the Yankees on Sunday, one day after he had to leave an appearance with tightness in his lower back.

"He's down today. He's day-to-day," Yankees manager Joe Girardi said. "He doesn't feel terrible today, but I won't use him and see how he is tomorrow."

Robertson said that he never had a bruise from the hard liner that Joe Mauer smoked off his back on Wednesday, saying that his belt -- which still has the seams from where the ball impacted it -- took the brunt of the damage.

"It's right above that, so I'm guessing that ball he hit off me probably had a little something to do with it," said Robertson, who is wearing a heat pack on his back to keep it loose.
A-Rod talks to Huff, happy pitcher is OK

NEW YORK -- Alex Rodriguez was breathing a little easier on Sunday morning, having talked to Indians starter David Huff and learning that he was OK after being struck above the left ear by Rodriguez's line drive in the third inning on Saturday.

Rodriguez left the Yankees' clubhouse shortly after the completion of Saturday's game to see Huff in the hospital, but the pitcher was already back with the Indians at that point. Rodriguez was able to talk to him over the phone on Saturday night.

"We spoke for about five or 10 minutes, and he's just a really nice guy," Rodriguez said. "He was in good spirits. He said the results were good. There are more tests coming out and hopefully they'll be good, too."

Rodriguez compared the incident to one from two years ago, when a shot off the bat of Bobby Abreu hit Twins' pitcher Nick Blackburn in the head. This one was different, Rodriguez said, both because Huff remained motionless for so long and because the third baseman knew just how hard he hit the ball.

"David laid there for what seemed like 30 minutes, but was probably three or four minutes," Rodriguez said. "We're there with 50,000 people and only one person knows how hard you hit a guy. A lot of times you hit it back up the box, and you hit it off the end or off your hand a little. But I hit that ball really flush. He actually kidded with me yesterday that he was going to come find me during batting practice and ask me if that was my best shot, if that's all I got. My answer would have been, 'Yeah. That's all I got.'"

It wasn't too hard to discern just how hard Rodriguez had hit the ball after it ricocheted well into right field off of Huff's head. Once Rodriguez reached second safely, he took off his helmet and jogged toward the mound to check on the pitcher.

"I literally saw that ball go toward his head in slow motion," Rodriguez said. "It sounded like it hit cement, like a brick wall."

Huff appears to be fine after the scary moment, with Tribe manager Manny Acta reporting that the pitcher didn't have any concussive symptoms on Saturday. Huff is back with the team and may even make his next start.
Posada takes BP, eager to return to action

NEW YORK -- Jorge Posada has been adamant that his fractured right foot will not cost him nearly as much time as the Yankees have estimated, and continues to believe that he can beat all conservative timetables back into action.

Posada has not played since May 16, and when he was placed on the 15-day disabled list four days later, the Yankees guessed that he might miss three to four weeks.

But after taking batting practice at Yankee Stadium on Sunday, the catcher believes he might be ready very soon.

"I need more hitting, and we'll see," Posada said. "I think if I hit today and tomorrow, we'll see. Running is the thing. I've got to run the bases and all of that stuff. If it feels fine after that, we'll see."

Yankees manager Joe Girardi did not have a date in mind for Posada, who may need to play in rehab games before being activated. Posada can be activated on Tuesday at the earliest and said that he "would like to" play in the Orioles series that begins that night.

"I think a lot of it is going to take care of itself when we see him run, which is real close," Girardi said. "We're real close to seeing him run on the treadmill. Once he gets through that, we'll probably put him on the field to run. And once he gets through that, he's real close."

Posada had another MRI on Thursday in New York that confirmed he is healing well from the fracture, which he believes came from a foul tip off the bat of the Twins' Michael Cuddyer. Posada was happy to get the boot removed, the first step toward his return.

"It felt better without the boot than with the boot, to tell you the truth," Posada said. "Everything else was hurting because of the boot, hip and back and all that stuff. I tried my shoe and it felt good."

Girardi said that he would watch Posada to see if he runs with a limp, which would be a "huge concern" because of the chain reaction of injuries it could cause. Other than that, Girardi said he could be quick to offer a green light.

"The one thing we don't necessarily have to worry about is, in a polite way, speed is not one of the things we have to worry about," Girardi said. "As long as he's running OK, I don't see it being an issue. It's a little different to when you look at someone like [Curtis] Granderson, because he has so much field to cover out there."

Tribe conservative, but Huff may make start

NEW YORK -- The first sign that David Huff was going to be all right, despite getting whacked in the head by an Alex Rodriguez line drive on Saturday, came just after Indians assistant athletic trainer Rick Jameyson rushed to the mound to help him.



Huff's parents, Tom and Pat, and his brother, Tim, were in attendance to watch him make his first start in Yankee Stadium, and Huff wanted to pass along word that there was nothing to worry about, no matter how awful the scene appeared.

"My first concern after I went down," Huff said Sunday, "was [to tell Jameyson], 'Hey, this is my brother's number. Call him, because I know he's freaking out.'"

That Huff was able to communicate proved he hadn't lost consciousness. That he was able to recite the number was evidence that he had suffered no memory loss.

Later, doctors at nearby NewYork-Presbyterian/Columbia University Medical Center would perform a CT scan on Huff's head and determine he had no damage or bleeding in the brain and no signs of a concussion. And to listen to Huff crack jokes about the whole experience Sunday morning, it was clear that while he didn't dodge A-Rod's line drive, he had certainly dodged a bullet.

"To be honest," Huff said, "I feel fine."

So fine, in fact, that Huff might make his next start Thursday in Detroit. That is still being determined, depending on how Huff continues to respond to evaluations every six to eight hours and how a neuropsychological test taken Sunday morning at the ballpark compares with one Huff took when completely healthy in Spring Training.

"Certainly, we'll err on the conservative side," head athletic trainer Lonnie Soloff said.

Regardless of whether Huff makes that start, the discoveries in the wake of the incident have been a relief to Tom, Pat and Tim and the thousands of other attendees at Yankee Stadium.

And what a relief to A-Rod, who asked the Indians for Huff's cell phone number after going to the hospital after the game, only to discover Huff had already been released and made it back to the ballpark.

Rodriguez called Huff while the Indians' team bus carried Huff and his family back to the team hotel in midtown Manhattan.

"It was a good conversation," Huff said, without getting into specifics. "I tried to get him to laugh, because I know he was concerned."

Huff's family was concerned. But better, he reasoned, for them to be in attendance and to see first-hand that he was going to be OK, rather than being back home in Huntington Beach, Calif., watching the incident on TV and fretting.

David and Tim Huff played catch in the outfield at Yankee Stadium before batting practice on Friday. They scooped up some dirt to take home as a souvenir. The prospect of Huff pitching in a game on baseball's biggest stage had once seemed implausible but was soon to be a reality.

The reality nearly turned tragic when A-Rod hit that hard line that bounced off Huff's head, just above the left ear, and ricocheted all the way into right field.

"It could have been an inch this way or that way," Huff said, pointing near his eye and his temple, "and I wouldn't be here talking to you. I was definitely lucky."

One's natural reaction, upon seeing the ball carom all the way into the outfield, was to figure that the impact of the blow to Huff's head must have been monumental.

But in reality, Soloff explained how the ball's flight path could actually be deemed a positive.

"A lot has to do with the angle of impact," Soloff said. "In our experience, if the ball had landed fairly close to David, it would have been an indication that his head deadened the ball. The fact that the ball traveled as far as it did after impact can potentially be a good prognostic outcome."

The outcome has been bright for Huff. He was out of the hospital before Saturday's game ended. He said he slept fine and was only reminded of the incident when reaching to scratch the left side of his head. He remembered everything about the pitch -- a changeup down and away -- that A-Rod smacked for an RBI double off the head. And he was extremely thankful to the medical training staffs from both clubs, as well as the Yankees' security staff, for the quick assistance to him and his family.

"It definitely hit me before I realized anything," Huff said of the liner. "If I would have saw it, I probably would have caught it. ... It was a scary experience."

One Huff, thankfully, survived. And though the specifics might not have been anything near what he anticipated, he'll never forget his first start at Yankee Stadium.

Gary Coleman DEAD: 'Diff'rent Strokes' Actor Dies In Utah, Wife Shannon Price At His Side

Gary Coleman is dead. He was taken off life support on Friday morning and passed away, both TMZ and Radaronline.com first reported. His wife Shannon Price and her father were at the hospital.

Coleman died Friday at 12:05 PM MDT.

Coleman, 42, was best known for his role as Arnold Jackson on "Diff'rent Strokes." Word got out that he was hospitalized Thursday and in critical condition.

PROVO, Utah -- Gary Coleman, the child star of the smash 1970s TV sitcom "Diff'rent Strokes" whose later career was marred by medical and legal problems, has died after suffering an intercranial hemorrhage. He was 42.

Utah Valley Regional Medical Center spokeswoman Janet Frank said life support was terminated and Coleman died at 12:05 p.m. MDT.

Coleman, with his sparkling eyes and perfect comic timing, became a star after "Diff'rent Strokes" debuted in 1978. He played the younger brother in a pair of African-American siblings adopted by a wealthy white man.

His popularity faded when the show ended after six seasons on NBC and two on ABC.

Coleman suffered continuing ill health from the kidney disease that stunted his growth and had a host of legal problems in recent years.

Coleman suffered the hemorrhage Wednesday at his Santaquin home, 55 miles south of Salt Lake City.

A statement from the family said he was conscious and lucid until midday Thursday, when his condition worsened and he slipped into unconsciousness. Coleman was then placed on life support.

Diff'rent Strokes" debuted on NBC in 1978 drew most of its laughs from the tiny, 10-year-old Coleman.

Race and class relations became topics on the show as much as the typical trials of growing up.

Coleman was an immediate star, and his skeptical "Whatchu talkin' 'bout?" - usually aimed at his brother, Willis - became a catchphrase.

In a 1979 Los Angeles Times profile, his mother, Edmonia Sue Coleman, said her son had always been a ham as a small child. He acted in some commercials before he was signed by T.A.T., the production company that created "Diff'rent Strokes."

"Gary remembers everything. EVERYTHING," co-producer and director Herb Kenwith told the newspaper. "His power of concentration is unlike any adult's I know."

Asked by Ebony magazine in 1979 how he learned his lines so easily, young Gary replied, "It's easy!"

But the attention his starring role brought him could be a burden as well as a pleasure. Coleman told The Associated Press in 2001 that he would do a TV series again, but "only under the absolute condition that it be an ensemble cast and that everybody gets a chance to shine."

"I certainly am not going to be the only person on the show working," he said. "I've done that. I didn't like it."

The series lasted six seasons on NBC and two on ABC and lives on thanks to DVDs and YouTube. But its equally enduring legacy became the former child stars' troubles in adulthood, including the 1999 suicide of Dana Plato, who played the boys' white, teenage sister.

Todd Bridges, who played Coleman's brother, was tried and acquitted of attempted murder.

Coleman had financial and legal problems in addition to continuing ill health from the kidney disease that required dialysis and at least two transplants. As an adult, his height reached only 4 feet 8 inches.

He continued to get credits for TV guest shots and other small roles over the years. But he told the AP in 2001 that he preferred earning money from celebrity endorsements. "Now that I'm 33, I can call the shots. ... And if anybody has a problem with that, I guess they don't have to work with me."

Coleman was among 135 candidates who ran in California's bizarre 2003 recall election to replace then-Gov. Gray Davis, whom voters ousted in favor of Arnold Schwarzenegger.

Coleman, who advocated drastic steps for California's faltering economy such as lowering income taxes and raising sales tax, came in eighth place with 12,488 votes, or 0.2 percent, just behind Hustler magazine publisher Larry Flynt.

Running for office gave him a chance to show another side of himself, he told The Associated Press at the time.

"This is really interesting and cool and I've been enjoying the heck out of it because I get to be intelligent, which is something I don't get to do very often," he said.

Coleman told The New York Times at the time that "I want to escape that legacy of Arnold Jackson. I'm someone more. It would be nice if the world thought of me as something more."

But legal disputes dogged him repeatedly. In 1989, when Coleman was 21, his mother filed a court request trying to gain control of her son's $6 million fortune, saying he was incapable of handling his affairs. He said the move "obviously stems from her frustration at not being able to control my life."

In a 1993 television interview, he said he had twice tried to kill himself by overdosing on pills.

He moved to Utah in fall 2005, and according to a tally in early 2010, officers were called to assist or intervene with Coleman more than 20 times in the following years. They included a call where Coleman said he had taken dozens of Oxycontin pills and "wanted to die." Some of the disputes involved his wife, Shannon Price, whom he met on the set of the 2006 comedy "Church Ball" and married in 2007.

In September 2008, a dustup with a fan at a Utah bowling alley led Coleman to plead no contest to disorderly conduct. The fan also sued him, claiming the actor punched him and ran into him with his truck.

Coleman was born Feb. 8, 1968, in Zion, Ill., near Chicago. His mother told Ebony his kidney disease was diagnosed when he was 2. He underwent his first transplant at age 5.

He attracted attention when he took part in some local fashion shows and people suggested he should get work performing in commercials, which he then did, she said.

Huff Feeling Good a Day After Getting Hit in Head Video

Indians pitcher David Huff feels good enough a day after getting hit in the head with a line drive to make light of what had been a scary situation.


New York's Alex Rodriguez hit an RBI double off the side of Huff's head in the third inning of Saturday's game. Huff went down and stayed motionless for a while until giving a thumbs up as he was carted off the field.

Tests have shown no signs of a concussion, and Huff was back at the ballpark Saturday in time to see the Indians come back to beat the Yankees 13-11.

Huff says he didn't see the ball coming at him at all, because if he had, he would have ducked.

He said he's ready to take his next turn in the rotation, but Cleveland's medical staff hasn't decided if he's fit to yet.

UFC 114 Results: Antonio Rogerio Nogueira Squeaks by Jason Brilz

Jason Brilz brought a very tough fight for Antonio Rogerio Nogueira tonight. Nogueira, originally scheduled to fight brawler Forrest Griffin, ended up fighting a wrestler in Brilz. Round one proved extremely close. Nogueira controlled the standup and landed a handful of knees to the body. Brilz was able to take Nogueira down and landed some good damage from the top there.

Brilz took control in round two. The two traded guillotines back and forth, with Brilz coming extremely close to submitting the Brazilian. As the round came to a close, he threw a wild left-right combination that had Nogueira wobbly until the bell.

Nogueira showed why he's a top fighter, however, and came back strong in round three. He stuffed Brilz's takedowns or swept into top control if taken down. He looked the fresher fighter on the feet as well, though he had been rocked at the end of round two.

The judges scored a split decision for Nogueira, which was greeted by jeers from the Vegas crowd.

David Huff Hit In Head By Alex Rodriguez Line Drive

NEW YORK — Indians pitcher David Huff was hit above the left ear by Alex Rodriguez's line drive Saturday and taken to a hospital, where a CT scan was negative.

The Indians said Huff never lost consciousness or experienced memory loss. He will remain at New York-Presbyterian Hospital for several hours as a precaution.

Huff immediately fell to the ground and lay motionless on his stomach after Rodriguez's drive – on Huff's 50th pitch – hit him and ricocheted into right field for an RBI double with one out in the third inning.

Trainers from both teams and players on the field ran to the mound. Rodriguez took a knee behind the mound and slammed his helmet. He remained there with his head bowed for a minute before going into the dugout.

After 6 minutes, trainers helped Huff onto his back and put him on a board with a neck brace. He gave a thumbs up and raised a hand to a huge ovation while being carted off the field.

Aaron Laffey relieved with runners on second and third after a delay of about 9 minutes and gave up a sacrifice fly to Robinson Cano.

David Huff's scary injury sparks Tribe rally past Yankees Video

NEW YORK -- Cleveland Indians pitcher David Huff was back with the team only a few hours after he was hit above the left ear by Alex Rodriguez's line drive Saturday and carted off the field.

Huff was taken to New York-Presbyterian Hospital in Manhattan for a CT scan, which was negative. The Indians said the 25-year-old left-hander never lost consciousness or experienced memory loss.

"He's doing well, we'll find out more tomorrow," Indians manager Manny Acta said after the Indians rallied from a big deficit for a 13-11 victory over the Yankees. "He did not have any concussive symptoms right now."

Down, 10-4, in the sixth inning to CC Sabathia, the Indians came back to win in their highest-scoring game of the season.

Huff returned to Yankee Stadium by the ninth inning, saw a couple of teammates, showered and took the team bus with his brother, Tim, and their parents.

He received a phone call from Rodriguez, who was going to the hospital after the game but was told to turn around after Huff was discharged.

Rodriguez told Yankees spokesman Jason Zillo in a phone call: "Your heart stops. You want so badly to take it back."

TORONTO 5, BALTIMORE 2: Lyle Overbay hit two of Toronto's four home runs, Vernon Wells connected for a go-ahead shot in the eighth inning and Brett Cecil (5-2) won his third straight start for the host Blue Jays. Cecil matched his career high by working eight innings, allowing two runs and four hits.

MINNESOTA 8, TEXAS 3: The Twins finally got a big hit with the bases loaded to key a six-run seventh inning against the visiting Rangers. Delmon Young hit a two-run double and J.J. Hardy followed with a two-run single for the Twins. Orlando Hudson had a homer, a double and three RBIs.

LOS ANGELES 5, SEATTLE 1 (10 innings): Kendry Morales hit a walk-off grand slam in the 10th inning but was hurt in the celebratory pileup at home plate. He twisted his left ankle and had to be carted off the field and taken to the hospital. He was placed on the 15-day disabled list.

BOSTON 1, KANSAS CITY 0: Clay Buchholz (7-3) threw seven shutout innings to outduel Zack Greinke. The loss snapped the visiting Royals' three-game winning streak. Mike Lowell drove in Boston's lone run with an RBI grounder.

TAMPA BAY 8, CHICAGO 5: Carlos Pena drove in three runs, and Wade Davis allowed three runs while pitching into the seventh inning for host Tampa Bay. Pena hit a three-run double during a four-run fourth inning off John Danks (4-4) to put Tampa Bay up, 6-2. The other run scored on Gabe Kapler's bunt.

Peter Fonda, co-star in Easy Rider (1969): “Dennis introduced me to the world of Pop Art and ‘lost’ films. We rode the highways of America and changed the way movies were made in Hollywood. I was blessed by his passion and friendship.”

Gene Hackman, co-star in Hoosiers (1986): ”As an actor, one is always taken by someone who is different. An iconoclast, Dennis was an artist and I will always treasure having worked with him. He will be missed.”

Isabella Rossellini, co-star in Blue Velvet (1986): “When I first met Dennis on the set of Blue Velvet, he had just come out of rehab. I was afraid of him, but Dennis turned out to be infinitely kind, compassionate and understanding. He had gone to hell and came back from it with great wisdom. It will take me a while to realize and accept he isn’t with us any longer.”
